About the Essay Contest

Writing is an essential skill that allows children to express their feeling through words in a well-thought of process. The organizers of Arizona Children's festival believe that this skill needs to be encouraged and recognized. The aim of this contest is to increase awareness in the concept of friendship among children and to bring recognition to the talented student writers. Arizona Children's festival invites Arizona's middle-school students or children within the ages 12-15 years to an essay contest entitled 'Recipe for Friendship'. The essay will be judged on the basis of relevance, originality, correctness, vocabulary and neatness of writing by the jury. The three best essays will be rewarded on the festival day. The winners will be contacted and the school of the winners will receive a certificate of recognition from FID.
